We left the hotel in the taxi at 3:45pm and fortunately got to the airport with plenty of time. However, 3pm came and went and by 3:30 having emailed and not received any response, we decided to order a taxi.
I emailed and promptly received a reply advising pick up of 3pm from the hotel for our flight at 6pm. I tried this but it flashed up that I had to email or call the local office to find the time out. I had downloaded the Resort Hoppa app before travelling, as had read that once viewed the day before your departure, would advise of your return pick up time. The resort Hoppa bus itself, was a small grimey minibus with no seatbelts and my youngest had to perch his bum on the edge of a 3 seater that already had 3 people sitting! of course this is lies! It's just a way of these companies adding their little extra or sometimes, a lot extra! His argument was that in the last week, there were new rules that meant if you were with a company, you had to have a stamp in your passport and this was what they were charging you for. On return, I was told we would have to pay an extra £2pp to these people (he did say he was going to charge us £3pp until someone else intervened). No problem, paid £15pp visa entry at the bank, queued up to get through passport control and found the same rude representative advising the passport control man in his native tongue, to send us back to the desk to get a stamp from the Resort Hoppa company. The family in front of us at the Resort Hoppa desk were charged £22pp!! I had to argue (along with another family) to have my passports returned by this desk (who had promptly taken them in the rush to get everyone off the plane and in the Resort Hoppa group to pay up). at what appeared to be any price that they wished to charge you! Having read Tripadvisor reviews for our hotel, I realised that rather than purchase from these desks, I should go to the kiosk banks where they charge a flat $25 or £15. Naturally we made ourselves known and followed the man as instructed to the desks immediately in front and all lined up waiting to issue you with entry visas to the country. On arrival at Hurghada we were met by a Resort Hoppa representative holding a notice board with our name on.
Resort hoppa transfers drivers#
Saying that the return transfer was early and the drivers were friendly.We booked Resort Hoppa through Low Cost Holidays on our recent visit to Hurghada, Egypt. Also the drivers take all the back roads to avoid tolls, so it takes much longer to get to the hotel. I had to sit in the back between the booster and the car seat, but as there wasn't enough room had to sit sideways all the way to the airport.

On the way back the driver turned up with a normal car, it was a real squeeze to fit is all in (we only had 2 backs, a buggy and hand luggage). She was really uncomfortable as the cushioning had been removed (probably got dirty) so she was sitting on hard plastic and the seat belt was cutting into her neck. Our 13 month old was in a high backbooster, three year old was just in a booster. What can I say- 20 min wait for a driver/ car, €21 extra charge for car seats. Booked through resort hoppa this year but unfortunately they use Green bus so ended up with them again. They didn't have a suitable car seat for our baby so refused to transport us.
We used this company last year and they were a nightmare.
